Wed June 16th: Greetings to browsers from the Getman anniversary fair. We’re currently transitioning our main website to this new design; so the offerings seen here (from the last Printed Matter Virtual Art Book Fair) are skewed towards avant-garde materials and artist ephemera. We also specialize in the human sciences and design history. You can subscribe to our email list to receive notice of future updates ...

Munari, Bruno
Oggetto trovato sull' autostrada.
[Milano]: [P. Bellasich e R. Bossi Editori], 1967.

#17278. Large poster (70 x 45 cm.), printed full-bleed to thick stock, pink-on-purple. Very minor buckle to left margin, otherwise Fine.

One of two posters designed by Munari for the scarce portfolio Il traffico: dieci manifesti e una poesia, which also featured posters from Max Huber, Pino Tovaglia, Silvio Coppola, and Enzo Mari.

Munari’s striking pink-on-purple composition—a collage of “objects found on the highway”—has an incredibly visceral presence. Both joyful and violent; mass at high speed.

With only a single OCLC copy of the portfolio discovered (Library of Congress); no SBN copies discovered.
